Collaborative Plan for Pro Bono in the UK

Thank you for contributing to the 2026 UK Collaborative Plan Stats Survey 2026.

The following questions are set by and for the Collaborative Plan for Pro Bono in the UK (the Plan). The Plan is an independent initiative, with survey administration and data management support provided by Thomson Reuters Foundation.

Data provided will be shared (amongst members) and published (publicly) in a de-identified format only, to enable the signatories to benchmark their pro bono practice against other signatories.

Any data which is not published publicly but which is shared amongst signatory firms remains confidential and should not be forwarded or shared outside the group.

For this survey, please use the TrustLaw definitions of Qualifying Pro Bono and Qualifying Fee Earner.  Please note that if the Qualifying Pro Bono work done by trainees or paralegals is included in your firm’s total Qualifying Pro Bono hours, all trainees or paralegals must also be included in the firm’s headcount. This survey relates solely to Qualifying Fee Earners based in the UK.

Where possible, please report using data for the calendar year 2025. If this is not possible with your reporting system, use another 12-month period of your choice and be consistent in choosing the same reporting period for each year.
