This survey is part of the ERM Sustainability Institute’s ongoing research exploring ESG ratings. Results from this survey will be used to inform the 2025-2026 Rate the Raters report series.
For the purpose of this survey, ESG ratings (also known as “corporate sustainability ratings”) are defined as score-based evaluations of companies providing a comparative assessment of their performance on environmental, social, and/or governance (ESG) issues. Indices and rankings are excluded from this research.
This particular survey is for investors and asset owners. It should take about 10 minutes to complete. Please only complete this survey if you are an investment or finance professional familiar with ESG ratings and data providers. If you do not know the answer to a question or do not want to provide a response to it, please skip and move on to the next one. If you are not qualified to respond, please feel free to forward it to a relevant colleague at your organization.
