DESCRIPTION OF THE RESEARCH
You are invited to take a survey about your academic and social experiences at your college. The purpose of this study is to better understand how campus environments, policies, and practices affect students, and to help colleges improve equity, support, and student success.
WHAT WILL MY PARTICIPATION INVOLVE?
The survey takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. Your participation is voluntary. You may skip any question or stop at any time without any penalty. Your responses will be kept private.
ARE THERE ANY RISKS TO ME?
We will do our best to keep your information private and secure. However, as with any online survey, there is a small risk that someone could access the data without permission. Some questions ask about personal experiences, including discrimination or microaggressions, which may be uncomfortable or upsetting for some people. You do not have to answer any question that makes you uncomfortable.
ARE THERE ANY BENEFITS TO ME?
There is no direct benefit to you for participating. However, your voice will help colleges better understand students’ experiences and guide improvements to campus policies, supports, and equity efforts.
WILL I BE COMPENSATED FOR MY PARTICIPATION?
After completing the survey, you may choose to enter a drawing for one of ten $100 Amazon gift cards. Winners will be selected at random. If you enter the drawing, you will be asked to provide an email address so The RP Group can contact you if you are selected. Your email will only be used for this purpose.
HOW WILL MY CONFIDENTIALITY BE PROTECTED?
Your privacy is very important to us. Your name will not be used in any reports, and only group-level results will be shared. Survey data will be stored securely on Alchemer’s servers (protected online systems for safely storing survey data) and accessed only by approved staff. Any contact information collected for incentives will be deleted after the incentives are distributed.
Survey responses will be shared with the college you identify to help it better understand and support its students. At the end of the survey, you may choose to provide your college-issued student ID so college researchers can link students’ survey responses to their future academic outcomes. Providing your ID number is optional - if you prefer to remain anonymous, you may leave this question blank.

AGREEMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS STUDY
Taking part in this study is voluntary. Choosing not to answer certain questions will not affect your ability to complete the survey or receive the incentive. Data from this study may be used for future research. By continuing with the survey, you confirm that you are 18 years or older and agree to participate in this study.
