Health Empowerment & Leadership
The HEAL program which stands for, Health, Empowerment & Leadership is a program for high school girls and gender expansive youth entering grades 9th – 12th during the 2026-27 school year. The HEAL program is for youth interested in being part of a movement for equity, dignity, and respect for all. The program engages young people in learning and dialogue about access to quality healthcare, with a focus on reproductive health inequities affecting their communities and the nation.

This summer we are excited to offer Health Empowerment & Leadership, from June 15 - July 10 (no program on Friday June 19th & Friday, July 3rd).

This summer, Health Empowerment & Leadership invites girl‑identified youth to step into a movement built on equity, respect, and real community change. It’s a space where teens build confidence, leadership skills, and a strong understanding of their rights while exploring how health systems and policies shape their everyday lives. Participants dive into the fight for a future where everyone has access to quality healthcare, with a focus on the reproductive health inequities impacting women, girls, BIPOC communities, and LGBTQIA+ folks. Teens will gain the knowledge and tools to advocate for themselves and the people they care about, learning what their reproductive health rights are as young people and how to use their voices to push for justice. The program centers youth voice and creates a safe, open environment where teens can share, connect, and grow alongside each other and their facilitator. Along the way, they build lifelong self‑advocacy skills, strengthen their confidence, and develop a deeper understanding of how to lead meaningful change. At the end of the program, participants team up on a creative art or media project to raise awareness about reproductive health justice and inspire others to get involved. By the end of the summer, teens walk away empowered, informed, and ready to lead with courage and purpose.

Youth will get a $150 stipend for attendance, participation, and project completion.
