The Global Women in Management Program (GWIM), implemented by Counterpart International with the generous support of the ExxonMobil Foundation, is a global initiative launched in 2005 to advance women’s economic leadership and accelerate inclusive economic and social change.
GWIM delivers a long-term, results-oriented investment in women’s management, leadership, and technical capacity through integrated training, executive coaching, and global networks. Grounded in more than 40 years of women’s leadership experience, the program addresses persistent barriers to women’s economic advancement by strengthening decision-making authority, access to resources, and enterprise and institutional growth.
GWIM integrates emerging technologies - including AI-enabled learning tools and digital platforms - alongside STEAM-informed approaches that build systems thinking, data literacy, and innovation capabilities. This combined model equips women to increase productivity, improve business and institutional performance, access higher-value markets, and adapt to technology-driven economic environments.
