2026-27 Program Year INTENT TO PARTICIPATE

By completing and submitting this web form for the 2026-27 TREP program year to CDE no later than May 1, 2026 your district/ BOCES/district charter school/institute charter school (Local Education Provider [LEP]) is:

Agreeing to all of the student eligibility and LEP requirements as laid out in the TREP Guidelines as written by the Concurrent Enrollment Advisory Board (CEAB) and approved by the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education (SBCCOE)

Requesting TREP-specific per pupil state funding for an exact number of TREP slots;
Providing LEP’s eligible signatory’s e-signature; and
Providing your LEP’s main TREP contact person’s information.

A student is eligible to participate in the TREP Program if the student:

Per 22-35-108.5 (2)(a)(I), C.R.S., “is following the teaching career pathway created in section 23-60-110 and is on schedule to complete the courses and/or experiences specified in the teaching career pathway for the twelfth grade year and is enrolling in the postsecondary courses identified in the teaching career pathway for the fifth and sixth years.”***
Is college ready, and not in need of developmental education coursework in accordance with the education career pathway in which they enroll.
Completes an Individual Career and Academic Plan (ICAP) prior to declaring intent to participate in TREP.
Applies to, and is accepted into, a postsecondary program to continue on an approved educator pathway at a qualified Colorado institution of higher education.
Is entering the TREP program in the year immediately following the student’s 4th year of high school.
Has been selected for participation by their high school principal or equivalent school administrator based on the above criteria.
Upon entry to the TREP program, has not been designated a TREP program participant in any prior year (can only participate in TREP for 2 academic years).
Is in good academic standing (minimum Grade Point Average of 2.0 in postsecondary coursework) and remains enrolled in an applicable educator pathway in order to participate in year 2 of the TREP program.

*** For the 2026-27 year, the program is currently only open to students that were enrolled in their fifth year in 2025-26.***

6. I understand that the requirement of offering Concurrent Enrollment courses at no tuition cost to qualified students or qualified student's parent/legal guardian per C.R.S. 22-35-103(6)(a) also applies to Concurrent Enrollment courses taken through the TREP Program. *This question is required.

7. I understand that 22-35-108.5 (6) allows for TREP students to be counted in the enrolling school district's/institute charter school's graduation rate in the school year in which the student completes the school district's/institute charter school's minimum high school graduation requirements.

8. I understand that all student and LEP records applicable to the TREP program must be maintained by the district/charter school, including transcripts, ICAP, TREP application, cooperative agreement between the district/school and the IHE, tuition payment verification from the district/school to the IHE, and credit hour verification for the Fall term (e.g., verification of the total credit hours for which LEP paid the student’s share of tuition). These documents may be requested by the Colorado Department of Education as verification of student eligibility, confirmation of regulatory compliance, and for TREP slot funding purposes. *This question is required.
