Thank you for applying for a DESE-funded space at the 2026 Massachusetts World Languages Proficiency Academy.

Please note that this is not a confirmation of your DESE-funded space. You will receive an email from MAFLA confirming whether you have been awarded a DESE-funded space. The email will also include information about optional lodging, dining, and graduate credits (not included in DESE's sponsorship). If you are not awarded a DESE-funded space, MAFLA will provide details on how to register for a self-funded or district-funded space.

Cancellation Procedures

If you are awarded a DESE-funded space and need to cancel your registration, please email worldlanguages@mass.gov as soon as possible, but no later than June 15, 2026. Failure to cancel your registration in a timely manner may result in the loss of access to early registration for future DESE-funded events.
