2026 3Rivers Scholarship Contest

Before you begin...

3Rivers is committed to supporting education and wants to help students succeed. This year, we’re giving away $90,000 in college scholarships to deserving students! 

Note: Entries will be accepted until Monday, June 1, at 12:00 PM EST. Entries submitted after this time will be disqualified.

Here are a few things you’ll want to have handy before you begin:
  • Proof of enrollment at an accredited school for the Fall 2026 semester (class schedules and letters of acceptance are acceptable). If you do not yet have proof of enrollment, please upload a text document including the line, “Proof of enrollment forthcoming.”
  • A recent photograph of yourself in one of these file formats: jpg, png
  • Your essay or photos of your art piece and an accompanying 350-word summary.
ESSAY ENTRY: Write a 750-1,000-word essay on ONE of the following topics:
  • Option 1: Write about a local business/organization in your community that has had a positive impact on you and/or your family. What role have they played in your life? What has contributed to the impact? What does that business/organization mean to you?
  • Option 2: What Local business/organization would be missed if they left your community? How would it impact you or others around you? What have they done to give back/impact your community? What have they done differently to stand out for you to write about?
OR

ART ENTRY: Paint or draw an art piece and include maximum 350-word summary:
  • Create an original painting or drawing (any style or medium with the exception of digital formats) depicting or representing a local business/organization in your community that has positively impacted you or the community you live in.
  • Provide proof of creation with before/during/after photos OR a time-lapse video.
  • Share your time investment creating the art piece.
  • Write no more than 350 words explaining your subject choice, the relevancy to the prompt, its impact on you and/or your community, and why you selected your materials for the art piece.
  • NOTE: Winners will need to deliver their art pieces to their nearest 3Rivers branch or mail it to our headquarters:

Bonus Chance to Win! Complete a 30-minute financial aid review with our Youth & College Team by Monday, June 1, 2026, for a chance to be one of ten (10) randomly selected winners of a $1,000 scholarship (only eligible if not selected as an essay or art contest winner).
