An invitation to participate in the Student Voice Survey for Second Year students
As a Second Year student we would like to understand your experience of your current year of study with us. Following completion of the survey run, we will inform you of how we have considered students' responses and how this may have led to change or enhancement of your student experience.
What is the Student Voice Survey?
This survey seeks your views on a range of areas such as your course, how you travel to the University, whether you are working alongside studying and your experiences at the University this term. You will be asked to rate your agreement with statements and to rate your satisfaction with different aspects of your university experience.
This survey will be live from 5th February 2026 and will be open throughout the month of February.
We understand that some international students may have recently completed the International Student Barometer and we would welcome your feedback here too.
Do you have to participate?
No, the survey is entirely voluntary but we would really value your participation. We want to understand how things are for you here at the University of Chester so we can respond and make changes if needed.
Are there any consequences of not participating in the survey?
There are no consequences for not participating in the survey.
How long will it take to complete the survey?
We estimate the survey will take about 10 minutes to complete.
What will we do with your data?
Your responses are anonymised so we won’t know who has participated and your responses will be collated into a report which will be available to senior staff at the University to enable us to highlight any areas for improvement. At the end of the survey, we will invite you to attend a focus group focussing on the findings of the survey - your contact details will only be used to send you details of the time and place for the focus group.
