The
2026 Farm to Kids Conference will be held on April 16–17, 2026, at Osprey Wilds Environmental Learning Center in Sandstone, Minnesota. This first-ever Farm to Kids Conference is organized by the Minnesota Department of Education and Minnesota Department of Agriculture to bring together educators, early care providers, school food authorities, farmers and producers, administrators, community partners, and anyone interested in Farm to School and Early Care.
The theme for the conference is
Cross Pollination of the 3's of Farm to Kids- with a focus on strengthening collaboration across cafeterias, classrooms, and communities.
We are looking for speakers and presenters who will share information, lead hands-on experiences, and connect with attendees during breakout sessions or lightning talks on
Friday, April 17. We are open to a wide variety of presentation topics, including but not limited to:
- Local food procurement
- Selling to schools/early cares
- Food and agriculture education
- Building partnerships for Farm to Kids
- School gardens
- Recipe development for local foods
- Connecting with your community
- Policy and advocating for local food systems
A $200 stipend is available to cover travel and supply costs.
Proposal submissions are due by March 20th.
