The Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is developing the Transportation Resilience Improvement Plan (TRIP) to help make sure Washington’s transportation system is ready for the future. This plan will help guide how the state prepares roads, bridges, and other transportation infrastructure and services for extreme weather and natural hazards such as flooding, wildfires, landslides, and earthquakes. For more information, visit the WSDOT project page.

As part of this effort, WSDOT wants to hear from people across the state. Your feedback will identify concerns about extreme weather and natural hazards that your communities face today. It will also help guide future actions needed to keep our transportation system safe and connected.

This survey takes about 10 minutes to complete. The survey is voluntary. You may skip any question or stop the survey at any time. Your responses are confidential and will be combined with others to inform future planning and investments. Please complete this survey by January 30, 2026.

As a thank you for participating, adult participants (age 18+) who complete the survey can share their name and contact information for a chance to win one of two $100 gift cards.

Questions and comments about the survey questions and purpose can be directed to Chelsea Buchanan at WSDOT (Chelsea.Buchanan2@WSDOT.wa.gov). WSDOT has hired PRR, an independent firm, to conduct this study. If you are having technical problems with the survey, please contact research@prrbiz.com

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Your input will help strengthen Washington’s transportation infrastructure and help prepare for future challenges.
