Land & Carbon Lab and WRI invite you to request early access to a new global dataset designed to monitor the conversion of natural ecosystems to agriculture since 2020, the baseline year used by major voluntary corporate target-setting initiatives and emerging reporting frameworks. This 30m-resolution global product identifies where forests, grasslands, wetlands, savannas, and other natural ecosystems have been converted to agriculture, and the year in which those changes occurred. We invite you to share feedback on this beta release to help improve the dataset over time.
This is the first annual, global data set to span both forest and non-forest ecosystems and to distinguish conversion to agriculture from general vegetation loss. Its public release will provide a critical foundation for supply-chain monitoring, corporate reporting, progress tracking, regulatory compliance, and scientific research. Your feedback will be invaluable in refining the dataset and shaping future improvements.
