Introduction
The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), is conducting its first survey on Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption in trade facilitation. This survey focuses on the use of AI by customs administrations and other government agencies (OGAs) involved in trade procedures.
The first edition of the Survey on AI in trade facilitation consists of three sections:
Section A – AI Trade Facilitation Measures, covering: Use of AI/ML in operational processes, Legal framework and AI governance, Capacity to adopt AI in trade procedures, Data management and quality.
Section B – Key Challenges and Recommendations for AI in Trade Facilitation
Section C – Information on Respondent
Individual experts and trade practitioners are invited to fill out the questionnaire to help us gather as much information as possible on the state of AI adoption and implementation in trade facilitation. Individual answers will be kept confidential and not be released at any time.
