Frailty Core Capabilities Framework Consultation

Welcome

Overview

Skills for Care has been commissioned by the Department of Health and Social Care to review and update the Frailty Core Capabilities Framework. The framework, which was first published in 2018, outlines the core capabilities for best practice for people caring for people living with frailty. Skills for Health have been contracted by Skills for Care to lead and facilitate the review process.

A first iteration of the revised content of the framework has been drafted by a group of experts in the field of Frailty - across health and adult social care - ahead of its anticipated publication in spring next year. This public consultation is inviting representation from health and adult social care professionals, service user groups and others on the proposed changes to the framework.

Responses to the survey will be treated confidentially and collated to identify key issues. The results of the survey will be used by the Frailty expert reference group to further develop and refine the revised framework prior to its final publication.

Please read the draft capability framework prior to starting the survey. You can download it here. The survey moves sequentially through the sections of the draft revised framework, and you will be given the opportunity to answer questions that relate to each section.

The survey should take approximately 45 - 60 minutes to complete.

Please submit your response as soon as possible, and no later than 12 noon on Friday, 30 January.
