Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products Clinical Trials Capability Framework Consultation

Welcome

Overview

The Advanced Therapy Treatment Centre (ATTC) network, working with Skills for Health, is developing the first national capability framework to upskill the NHS workforce on advanced therapies. With funding from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and Innovate UK, this will build on the ATTC network's work improving advanced therapy clinical trial readiness and help ensure the UK maintains its position as a globally attractive location for clinical research.

A first iteration of the advanced therapy clinical trials capability framework has been drafted by the ATTC network expert reference group, ahead of its anticipated publication early next year. This public consultation survey is inviting input from representative stakeholders in life sciences and across the NHS.

Responses to the survey will be treated confidentially and collated with other respondents to identify key issues. The results of the survey will be used by the ATTC network expert reference group to further develop and refine the capability framework prior to its final publication.

Please read the draft capability framework prior to starting the survey. You can download it here. The survey moves sequentially through the sections of the draft framework, and you will be given the opportunity to answer questions that relate to each section.

The survey should take approximately 30 to 45 minutes to complete

Please submit your response as soon as possible, and no later than 12 noon on 2nd February 2026.
