Help shape the future of your community center!

Thank you for taking our second survey! The Northshore Parks and Recreation Service Area (NPRSA) is studying priorities for a new community center in our region.

If you aren’t familiar with NPRSA, we are a regional funding district for the development, construction, and maintenance of parks facilities in Bothell, Kenmore, Woodinville, and King and Snohomish Counties. For easy reference, the NPRSA service area matches that of the Northshore School District.

This survey will take about 10 minutes to complete, and all responses are confidential. If you have questions or want updates on the study, email us at nprsa@bothellwa.gov.

What we’ve heard so far: In our first survey in 2024, the community expressed strong interest in a facility that supports aquatics and indoor recreation for youth, teens, and adults of all ages. Finding suitable land in our region for a public amenity is very challenging. We asked cities, public agencies, and our school district (NSD) to look for any properties that may work.

Since then, a site for a potential new community center has been identified in Woodinville, an environmental assessment of that site has been completed, and a site study has been completed to determine how many of the community’s priorities identified in Survey #1 fit on the site.

Where we are now: Survey #1 was all about dreaming big—collecting ideas for programs and features. Survey #2 is about level-setting: we’re presenting three design concepts for a potential new community center based on the specific characteristics of the site. Each concept is based on the preferred program identified in Survey #1, but with distinct differences.

This project will likely partner with the Northshore School District to address some of their recreation facility needs, so you will notice that each design concept prioritizes a competition pool to meet the needs of both the region and the school district. Your feedback will help us refine these options and determine the top priority design to present to the NPRSA Board for approval to progress into future phases.

Your input matters! By completing this survey, you’re helping NPRSA shape a community center that meets the needs of all.
