2026 Greater Mankato Growth Chamber Board Application

Call for Applications:

Greater Mankato Growth, Inc is seeking nominations for the new Chamber Board of Directors starting April 2026. Information on the new board is below:

Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. is governed by a board made up of members and stakeholders representing the diverse mix of businesses within the marketplace. GMG’s mission is to support and promote the economic growth and vitality of our members and the regional marketplace.

This new Chamber Board will meet at regular intervals (to be determined). The Nominating Committee for Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. will review applicants for consideration (Engaged Member level or higher) to fill seats on the Board (beginning April 2026 and ending February 2029).

Specific responsibilities of the Chamber Board include:
  • Driving Chamber business growth
  • Providing strategic leadership for the Chamber
  • Supporting and empowering staff
  • Measuring the impact and progress of Chamber initiatives
  • Fostering community connections to strengthen the economic fabric of the marketplace
  • Celebrating and promoting the success of Chamber programs, events, and membership

 Will your schedule allow for you to be a committed board member? (Exact meeting times to be determined. They are likely to be held bi-monthly for 60 - 90 minutes)

4. Do you commit to attending as many GMG Chamber events as your schedule permits? (e.g. Business After Hours, Annual Meeting, Business Awards & Hall of Fame, Greater Mankato on the Green, Advocacy Forums, etc.) *This question is required.
5. The term of each board member will be up to 3 years. Initially, the board member term lengths will be staggered so that about 1/3 of the board is up for renewal each year. As such, some initial board member term lengths will be 1 year, some 2 years, and the rest 3 years. Do you have a preference to serve a 1, 2, or 3 year term? Board members may be eligible to serve up to 2 terms. *This question is required.
