Wisconsin Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and Mental Health (IDD-MH) System Improvement aims to improve systems and services for people who have IDD-MH needs. More than 4,000 self-advocates, providers, and partners are working together from across the state to make this happen—it’s called our Community of Practice.

Wisconsin IDD-MH System Improvement Report (PDF) gives 37 recommendations for our state. Work started in early 2025 to turn these plans into actions.
- In early 2025, we asked the Community of Practice to vote on which three recommendations to work on first. You chose recommendations 1.2, 2.1, and 5.7.
