Green Cay Nature Center
Program Information
Green Cay Nature Center offers engaging educational programs for school groups and other specialty groups. Our naturalists use live animals, models, interesting facts, and other fun materials to teach about Florida’s native plants, animals, and conservation. Each field trip to our nature center can accommodate up to 60 participants, and we can arrange multiple program days for larger groups. All programs include a presentation and a boardwalk tour, promoting environmental awareness, conservation, and recreation.
Our programs are flexible to meet the needs of your group, so if you are looking for something specific to be included, please ask. The following are the program topics we offer:

School Programs (K-12) (90 minutes)
$2 per student (minimum of 10 participants and minimum $30 program fee)*. Prices are valid during school year only.
Most programs are designed to incorporate CPALMS Standards. Contact us to learn more.
Programs are offered Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays with start times between 9:30 AM and 1 PM.
We can accommodate Tuesdays if needed, just note that our exhibits and gift shop are NOT be open for use on Tuesdays as we are NOT open to the public.
Specialty Group Programs (private, non-school groups) (90 minutes)
$5 per person (minimum of 10 participants or $50 minimum program fee)*
Specialty groups include: camp groups, youth groups, social clubs, Scout groups, etc.

Chaperones: One free chaperone is included for every 10 paying participants. Additional chaperones must pay the program fee.
Reservations: All programs require advanced reservations. To book a program, complete a Program Reservation Request Form and email it to the nature center. After receiving your request, we will provide a confirmation/invoice. Payment is due on the program date or, if coming multiple days, on the last program date. Payment can be made via cash, check, or credit card*.
Special Needs/ESOL: Please inform us in advance if any participants have special needs or are ESOL and we will do everything we can to provide a fully inclusive experience.
Food Policy: No food is allowed on the premises. The nearest park with picnic tables is West Delray Regional Park, located at 10875 Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach, Florida 33436.
*Effective October 1, 2025, all payments made with a credit or debit card (online or in-person) will incur a 3.0% service fee. This fee is assessed and collected by the credit card processor, NOT by Palm Beach County. No service fee will be assessed on payments made by check or cash.
