ACCESS 2026 Conference Registration

Join Cal Voices’ ACCESS California program for a full-day event exploring California’s Public Behavioral Health Transformation (BHT) and its impact on the peer profession and consumer-operated agencies. We’ll share insights from over 200 peers who participated in our 2024–2025 workforce surveys, which will guide the morning peer-panel discussion. In the afternoon, consumer-operated agency leaders will discuss how the BHT is affecting their organizations and strategies to preserve the grassroots peer approach. We’ll conclude with the BHT Stakeholder Policy Workshop to address urgent policy issues in preparation for the California Gubernatorial Forum, co-hosted by Cal Voices in February 2026.

Attendees will:
  • Understand major policy changes that will impact California’s Behavioral Health System and its consumers as of July 1, 2026
  • Understand challenges faced by the CMPSS workforce and identify strategies for meaningful peer integration within the BHSA.
  • Understand the impacts of the transition from evidence-based practices to an increasingly “medicalized” PBHS and the vital need to preserve consumer-operated services.
  • Understand political priorities affecting consumers and stakeholders throughout the state’s behavioral health care delivery system to advocate for policy change.
