As you may know, Cairneagle periodically surveys key stakeholders in the Early Years market to understand the main issues affecting the sector.
Our previous survey was conducted in the spring of 2024. Since then, substatial developments have occurred, specifically with the government significantly increasing funding to the sector, through provision of 30 hours funding for parents of under-3s since September 2025. At the same time, the sector still faces challenges from government regulation, staffing and inflation, among others.
We are now surveying the sector again to understand the current and future implications of the new funding scheme for nursery operators, and operators views of the sector overall. We would be delighted if you could support these efforts through filling out our short survey (it will take around 10 minutes).
All answers are anonymised and confidential. Individual responses will not be published and will be presented in aggregate. We will of course share our analysis through our website on completion.
