Lowell Safe Streets for All Survey

Introduction

The Lowell Safe Streets for All project is about making our neighborhoods safer, healthier, and easier to get around for everyone. Prior efforts like the Greater Lowell Vision Zero Action Plan identified that the city of Lowell is a hotspot for crashes and unsafe speeds. This project builds on prior works, with a focus on practical solutions to address safety in three neighborhoods: The Acre, Back Central, and Lower Highlands. These neighborhoods were selected because these areas are where data and community members say safety changes are most needed. More information about this planning project and process can be found on the Lowell website: Safe Streets for All Action Planning | Lowell, MA

The following survey will ask your opinions on:
  • Safety Toolkit: potential design ideas the City will implement to make streets slower and safer
  • Pedestrian Safety Projects: intersections selected as potential projects to increase pedestrian safety
  • Projects that reduce speeding through three priority streets (Central St, Fletcher St, and Westford St)
