Project Design Information
Hello! This comment card is available for residents and neighbors to provide their feedback or ask questions about the Monterey Boulevard Pedestrian Safety Improvement Project. The project will install traffic striping pedestrian safety improvements along Monterey Boulevard between Circular Avenue and San Anselmo Avenue. Specifically, the project will install the following:
- Narrowing the existing vehicle lanes between Plymouth Avenue to Ridgewood Avenue
- Install painted safety zones at several intersections
- Install advanced limit lines (stop bars) at several intersection approaches
- Crosswalk upgrades (from standard to continental) or repainting them at several intersections
The project is also proposing to install a rectangular rapid flashing beacon (RRFB), which is a traffic control device, at the intersection of Monterey Boulevard at Acadia Street. This design element requires a public hearing, which has not been scheduled at this time.
For more information on the design or where these elements will be located,
check out the project design information document.
This comment card will be open until February 1, 2026.
