High school students are invited to join the Tressel Institute for Leadership and Teamwork's Summer Leadership Institute, a free, non-overnight program designed to help them grow as leaders, team members, and community contributors. Over three days, students will participate in hands-on workshops, team challenges, and discussions with guest speakers, all while learning how servant leadership can positively impact their lives and communities.
The program includes:

Interactive workshops to build teamwork, communication, and leadership skills

Collaborative challenges to strengthen critical thinking and problem-solving

Community service on July 18 with the Mahoning Valley United Way during Saturday of Caring

Guest speakers sharing insights about leadership and career paths
Program Schedule:

July 16 & 17: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM on YSU’s campus (lunch provided, parking available)

July 18: 7:30 – 10:00 AM at United Way Center in Boardman
Counselors may nominate up to two students. There is no cost to participate, and students leave with strengthened leadership skills, teamwork experience, and a certificate of completion.
