SHAPING THE FUTURE OF BRENTWOOD
GT3 Architects, Brentwood Council, and Everyone Active have previously undertaken a vision workshop for future of the Brentwood Centre. This highlighted that while the existing centre is tired, and outdated with limited opportunities for social interaction, it does provide good access and is an important facility in the Brentwood area. This is an exciting opportunity to invest in the facility.
Therefore the vision for this project is to refurbish and extend the existing building to create a welcoming and inclusive centre, with a strong community focus that increases participation, is economically sustainable, and is a landmark destination for the area.
An initial layout of what is achievable on the site in terms of extent of works has also been carried out. This consultation is an opportunity to sense check this vision before the project progresses to the next stage.
