LIT Party — Call for Proposals

What Is This Party is LIT?
Learning Innovation & Technology (LIT) is where learning professionals, technologists, builders, researchers and product teams gather to pull back the curtain on what’s really happening behind the scenes of learning technology.

This Party is LIT is a one-day, in-person gathering where we geek out about the how and why behind learning tech—the architectures, decisions, experiments, research, and products that shape modern learning ecosystems.

It’s not a trade show. It’s not a keynote marathon. It's a space for real conversations about how learning technology is designed, built, implemented, and evolved.

You'll find everything from early-stage experiments to production-ready platforms—united by curiosity, craft, and a desire to make learning better.

What we’re looking for …

We're looking for sessions from people who are building, shaping, or pushing learning technology forward, whether that work is experimental, mature, or somewhere in between.

That includes:

  • Builders, tinkerers, and hackers exploring what's possible
  • Product teams launching or evolving platforms, tools, or features
  • Practitioners implementing learning tech at scale
  • Team integrating systems, wrangling data, or designing learning ecosystems
  • Research groups who are exploring how technology supports learning science
If you've:
  • Built something new
  • Released an innovative product or major feature
  • Designed a clever integration or workflow
  • Learned hard lessons scaling or implementing learning tech
  • Tried something ambitious (even if it didn't go perfectly)
...we want to hear about it.

In short: If you’ve built it, bent it, or broken it to make learning better, it belongs at LIT.

We're especially interested in session that share:

  • Design decisions and tradeoffs
  • Technical or organizational challenges
  • What worked, what surprised you, and what you'd do differently
  • How your solution fits into a broader learning ecosystem
You don't need to be a polished speaker. You just need to be thoughtful, transparent, and willing to share how the work really gets done.

Session Formats

  • Show & Tell (20 min): A focused look at your build, demo, or idea — fast, practical, and energizing.

  • Deep Dive (45 min): A detailed exploration of workflows, architecture, product decisions, integrations, or implementation lessons.

  • Panel or Roundtable (45 min): Multiple perspectives on a shared challenge, emerging technology, or evolving practice in learning tech.
