With COP30 taking place in Belém, Brazil, we want to send a clear signal to Heads of State, environment ministers, fellow corporate leaders and concerned citizens, that business remains committed to deliver on the clean energy transition and demonstrate progress 10 years on from the Paris Agreement.
The best way to demonstrate that commitment is to hear directly from companies like yours with tangible data, case studies and evidence of implementation in action.
On Wednesday 12th November we are asking companies and corporate leaders across the world to share how they are creating jobs, delivering energy security, driving down costs for consumers and generating growth for communities and economies.
We will take over the online conversation for 24 hours, at the start of COP30 negotiations, generating media coverage and sending an unmissable message to policy makers and the public about the unstoppable momentum of corporate leadership.
By framing our collective narrative around jobs, security & growth, we will demonstrate the benefits of renewable energy and building resilience – the return on action – whilst avoiding political polarization.
We know that companies are regularly approached to share or create case studies. Our goal is to collaborate with other campaigns and initiatives around COP30 and we encourage you to reuse existing content. For a full list of organisations and campaigns we are working with see here.
On the following pages we will ask for some high level data points and examples of case studies that speak to your progress as a leader on renewable energy and emissions reductions. Please complete a minimum one of these that you'll be happy to share publicly and confirm your company or individual leader is willing to participate in the activation on November 12th.
For more details on how the campaign will work and what to expect, see our Q&A page here, and please feel free to contact our team with any questions by emailing cop@wmbcoalition.org
By sharing your email with us, you are agreeing for We Mean Business Coalition and Global Renewables Alliance to contact you with more information about how to participate.
