Sunset 2026-27 Review Cycle – Initial Stakeholder Survey

Introduction

The mission, operations, and performance of several entities under the Health and Human Services Enterprise and the Texas Workforce Commission are undergoing Sunset review as directed by the Texas Legislature in the Texas Sunset Act. The Sunset Advisory Commission evaluates state agencies to determine if they are still needed and operating effectively. Based on the commission’s recommendations, the Legislature decides whether to continue the agencies and, if so, how to improve their effectiveness, efficiency, fairness, and accountability.

We greatly appreciate your participation in this brief survey to help Sunset staff evaluate these entities, identify problems, and propose workable solutions to the Sunset Commission. Completing the survey should take between 5-30 minutes, depending on the number of entities for which your organization wishes to give feedback. You will have the option to save and resume your survey session at a later time. The survey will remain open through November 5, 2025.

Your responses are anonymous and confidential and will not be shared with these entities. Sunset staff have developed this survey independently using Sunset Commission resources to ensure confidentiality.
