The Southern Association of Colleges and Employers (SoACE) is excited to announce the Call for Nominations for the SoACE Board of Directors. This process is conducted electronically to provide members with a simple, accessible way to nominate qualified individuals for leadership positions.
We are seeking nominations from current SoACE members for several key Board positions, with terms beginning July 1, 2026.

HOW TO NOMINATE
The nomination form includes:
- A section for your (the nominator’s) information
- Details about each Board position open for nominations
- Space to provide a brief statement detailing the nominee’s qualifications for this position (we encourage 250–500 words)
WHO SHOULD BE NOMINATED
Nominees are strongly encouraged to have significant volunteer or committee experience within SoACE or a comparable association, but this is not a strict requirement. Nominees must be SoACE members in good-standing.
✅ Self-nominations are welcome and encouraged.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
Once the nomination period closes, the Nominations Committee will review all submissions and prepare a recommended slate of candidates for the SoACE Board of Directors. Prior to Board review and approval, each candidate recommended for the slate will be contacted to confirm their interest and to request their résumé, headshot, and candidate statement. After materials are compiled, the Board will review the proposed slate and the submitted materials prior to voting on final approval. Following Board approval, the slate will be shared with the membership during the Annual Business Meeting at the 2026 Conference.
All voting-eligible members will receive an electronic ballot and voting instructions following the conference.
