Thank you for your interest in serving on a FutureReady subcommittee. These groups are being set up by the State Board of Education (SBE) as a focused extension of the FutureReady initiative. Their purpose is to bring together additional expertise on topics that require deeper focus or subject-matter knowledge than can be fully addressed in regular Task Force meetings.
Time Commitment: Subcommittees will begin meeting in fall 2025, with work continuing through fall 2026. At this point, we anticipate a time commitment of about 3 hours per month, with possible additional independent time to review materials. The schedule will ebb and flow—there may be months without meetings and others with more frequent sessions—depending on the work underway. Schedules and expectations will be set once membership is determined.

Membership will be limited, as these groups are meant to be small and focused to provide needed context, data, and expertise to the Task Force and Board. Participation will be determined by SBE staff based on each subcommittee’s needs.
