2026 Fields Undergraduate Summer Research Program!
Please note this application form contains three parts: Personal Information, College/University Information, and Reference Information. All three pages must be completed in order for your application to be considered.
The application will ask for following documents and information. Please make sure that you have everything available before starting your application:
- CV/Resume
- Cover Letter
- (Un)official Transcripts
- 2 to 3 References (they will be emailed a link to directly submit their reference letters)
FUSRP 2026 will be conducted in person at the Fields Institute (Toronto, ON, Canada) & Western University (London, ON, Canada). You are expected to arrive in Toronto/London on
Monday, June 1, 2026 and leave Toronto/London on
Friday, July 31, 2026. (If you are staying at the residence we provide, June 1 and July 31 are your move-in and move-out days.) For more important program dates, please visit the program webpage:

You will be asked to select your
TOP 3 projects you would like to be considered for. Please tailor your cover letter to reflect your interest in the three projects you select. Please note that projects can be based in either the Fields Institute (Toronto, ON) or Western University (London, ON). Some supervisors may only be able to supervise remotely. Please read each project description carefully.
You references should receive an email with a link to directly submit their reference letters once your application is submitted successfully. It is your responsibility to follow up with your references to ensure that they have received an email from us and that they have submitted a reference letter for your application. If they have no received an email from us, please contact Shu-Chen Kuo at skuo@fieldsinstitute.ca.
Once you submit your application, you should receive a confirmation email with an edit link. You will be able to edit your application up to the application deadline.
The deadline to submit your application is on Monday, January 5th, 2026, at 1:00 PM (EST).
The deadline for reference letters is on Monday, January 12th, 2026, at 1:00 PM (EST).
