The City of Newman has received a Caltrans Sustainable Communities Grant to reimagine key streets:

T Street
Hardin Road
Yolo Street
Inyo Avenue
Canal School Road

These streets connect schools and neighborhoods, and our goal is to make them safer and more comfortable for walking, biking, and driving. With community input, we’ve developed draft design concepts, and now we’d like your feedback to help refine them.

This project also includes design ideas for:

Two opportunity sites in the city that could be repurposed or redeveloped to better serve the community.
A bike and pedestrian “loop” that would go around the city to provide a continuous, connected path.
