2025 NASCAR Playoffs Kansas Speedway Media Application

Request Details

We look forward to welcoming you to cover the 2025 NASCAR Playoffs Weekend at Kansas Speedway from Sept. 26-28. To request credentials, applications must be submitted by the editor, sports editor, producer or appropriate assigning authority at the outlet. If there are multiple staff covering for the same outlet, please make every effort to submit only one application per news organization by consolidating the credential requests of your sports, news and photography departments.

Submission of an application does not guarantee credentials will be issued. Individual writers, photographers and bloggers may submit a request; however, Kansas Speedway Communications will make all decisions regarding approvals, outlets, number of credentials, and access. Additionally, if multiple personnel are submitted for an outlet, Kansas Speedway reserves the right to limit the number of credentials for the outlet. Therefore, the outlet may be asked to reduce the number of submissions.

Previous approval of a credential does not guarantee future approvals for a credential.

Each person applying for credentials must include a unique email address and cell phone number on their application. If you are submitting applications for multiple people from your outlet, please ensure that you provide this information for all names. Without unique email address and cell phone numbers, Kansas Speedway may not be able to provide you with event and credential information, and your application may be denied.

If the person filling out the request also needs a credential, you will need to add yourself on step two with everyone else.

Minors cannot receive a media credential, nor can they be added to a media member’s credential.

To add additional applicants, please answer "YES" to the final question on the page. Selecting "NO" will submit your completed application to Kansas Speedway.

Attention: College and University Students

All college and university students, regardless of the publication they are representing, must go through the NASCAR College Program.

For all NASCAR races at which an outlet (newspaper, TV station, radio station, etc.) wishes to credential reporters or photographers who are currently college students, an editor, advisor or professor who oversees the outlet or program must reach out to Madison Faulkner (mfaulkner@nascar.com) to join the NASCAR College Program prior to submitting a credential request.

Through the NASCAR College Program, students – who must be current Junior or Seniors – will have the opportunity to cover a NASCAR race weekend from the perspective of a media member (print, broadcast, or digital). They will have the same access and responsibilities as a media member and will be held to the same at-track etiquette and standards. NASCAR will provide guidance on media etiquette, as well as tips for media coverage of a motorsports event.

    • College and University students should not apply for credentials through the track credential applications for themselves. All credential applications must be submitted by the editor, professor or advisor.
    • Applications/requests are due to Madison THREE weeks prior to the event weekend, which is usually one week prior to the credential deadline for each track.
    • Due to the rising popularity of credential requests from college students and programs in recent years, outlets may be limited in the number of credential requests that will be approved for each event.
If you have any questions regarding this application, please email Matt Humphrey at mhumphrey@nascar.com or Kendall Lambert at klambert@nascar.com.

  1. Credentials Deadline: September 19, 2025.  Incomplete requests will not be processed.
