Community Schools Community Survey 2025

WAYNE COUNTY COMMUNITY SCHOOLS

Community Schools is a strategy Wayne County is developing.  We want to see what is already in place and what seems like it might be missing.  Our school districts use this strategy to help build connections and help schools be a meaningful hub in our communities.
Themes from last year called for more child care opportunities and still more cooking, nutrition, physical activity... we made good progress and we need to check to see what people want to see in their communities.

You can choose to share your contact information at the end of this survey, and last year we started to ask for volunteers, and  this year we are ready to ask for volunteers and share Community School rally events.   We still did not do well was responding last year, but this year we have a dedicated person to help make sure anyone interested in volunteering is added to our newsletter.

We will support volunteers this year through a United Way portal and our newsletter.   We need tutors and mentors, people to deliver food to families and help with pop up food pantry events and people who can teach skills like plumbing or sewing.  We also need Community Schools Advisory Board members. Thanks for considering offering your time and talents in a way that makes the community stronger!

Community Schools is a strategy that schools can use to build connections and organize resources for student success.  We appreciate you completing this survey, especially if you are completing it every year!
