Workshop Overview

Build the expertise to select, apply, and quality-check fluid models for petroleum engineering projects. Learn directly from Professor Birol Dindoruk in an interactive program that blends fundamentals, real-world case studies, and hands-on exercises. This course will help you learn:

  • EoS fundamentals, strengths, and limitations

  • How to confidently review and QC PVT reports

  • Apply PVT software for engineering solutions

  • Understand the application of miscibility, phase behavior and flow data studies

Course Outline

  • Day 1 Fluid data essentials, reservoir fluid types, PVT experiments, and report level review

  • Day 2 Black oil & gas correlations, EOS thermodynamics, HC characterization and applications

  • Day 3 PVT data review, report QC, tuning and OBM contamination assessments

    Each day will feature interactive learning modules, in-class quizzes, active group discussions, and live PVT data QC exercises
