Domestic Animal Management Plan (DAMP)

Introduction

Council is reviewing our Domestic Animal Management Plan (DAMP). The DAMP outlines how we manage dogs and cats in Moonee Valley.  It promotes animal welfare and responsible pet ownership and aims to create a community where people and pets live together harmoniously and respectfully.

The DAMP highlights four key areas of focus that will shape Council’s work over the next four years:

  1. Animal Registrations
  2. Community Safety
  3. Community Tensions
  4. Environment and Animal Welfare
You can find out more information about the draft DAMP on the Your Say page for this project.

Completing this short survey is one way you can provide feedback about the draft DAMP. If you answer all questions in the survey, it should take around 8 minutes to complete. The survey will close at 11.59pm on Sunday 28th September 2025.
