Papakāinga Trust researchers, led by Daysha Tonumaipe’a, are running a wānanga and talanoa project to kōrero/talk with Māori and Pacific women about their experiences and insights on stopping violence programmes and activities. If you're interested in finding out more about the project please answer the questions below.
This is your invitation to find out more about the project, in case you would like to participate in a wānanga or talanoa.
The discussion would only be with you, and anybody you wish to have with you for support, and it can be in-person, on the phone or via video call.
The discussion would be about what outcomes you'd hope for from family/whānau/community participating in a stopping-violence activity and, if you know people who have gone to a stopping-violence programme, whether them going to such a programme made you safer.
At the end of all the discussions, Papakāinga Trust will release a report on their findings - about the insights that victim-survivors shared with them.
We will pass this information on to Papakāinga Trust. They will then be in touch in mid September 2025 to give you more information about their project. We will delete any contact details you leave straight after sharing them with Papakāinga Trust.
