Draft Cancer Survivorship Quality Standard: Public Feedback Survey

Ontario Health is seeking feedback on a draft quality standard on cancer survivorship. Quality standards outline what high-quality care looks like for conditions or processes where there are large variations in how care is delivered, or where there are gaps between the care provided in Ontario and the care patients should receive. They focus on areas for improvement, and they are grounded in the best available evidence. The care outlined in the quality standard may not reflect the care currently being delivered in Ontario, but it is achievable.

About the Cancer Survivorship quality standard:

The quality standard will address care for adults age 18 and over who are living with, through, and beyond a cancer diagnosis (cancer survivors). This quality standard is intended for use by cancer survivors, their family members, informal care partners and support networks; clinicians, researchers, administrators, health services organizations and planners; and policymakers such as the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Long-Term Care, and Ontario Health.

The patient guide for cancer survivors helps people know what to ask for when they are receiving care and ensure that they receive the highest-quality care. Patients and their care partners can use the patient guide to work with their clinicians and develop a care plan that works for them.

This quality standard will be open for feedback from October 7, 2025, to October 28, 2025. The closing time is 11:59 PM (ET) on October 28, 2025.

Your input can help us make this quality standard better. Using this survey tool, you can provide feedback on the content of each quality statement. There is a space for general comments, as well as feedback and suggestions on how we can disseminate, communicate, and promote the implementation of this quality standard across Ontario.
