Affordable Housing Maintenance Grants

Rental Property Grant Application 2025

The City of Fort Collins is offering targeted grant funds to assist affordable housing providers with improving the comfort and energy efficiency of their rental properties.  There are two types of grants available, depending on the status of the property.

Grants to deed-restricted affordable housing are intended to cover ongoing repairs and maintenance that maintain/improve energy efficiency, including upgrading indoor or outdoor lighting to LEDs, upgrading insulation, cleaning HVAC systems, etc.  All eligible applications in this category will receive some level of funding support.

Grants for properties rented to voucher-holders are intended to cover larger projects, like replacing windows or furnaces, improving insulation, etc.  These grants are competitive, and funding is not guaranteed.

All properties must be within City limits and registered with the City’s rental registration program to apply.
