Good day, review committee member. Thank you for taking the time to participate in this trial evaluation.
As we've discussed at previous meetings, part of the strategic plan calls for an overhaul of volunteer onboarding, ongoing education, and evaluation processes. The NAACLS Volunteer Expectations are the foundation for each of the aforementioned processes.
Similar to NAACLS Standard II, which requires programs to continually modify and try to improve, NAACLS is always trying to improve. The challenge of having high-performing volunteers is identifying areas where NAACLS can improve. Our current evaluations show that our volunteers are scoring very high. While staff and the board trust those numbers, the challenge of finding areas in development remains. This is why we are shifting to an attribute ranking. It isn't that a volunteer is doing poorly; it is just that additional resources may be needed.
We did hear the committees’ concerns from last July. You may notice a sliding scale added to the ranking system. This will provide more context for the data.
In addition to the trial survey, there is also a quick evaluation of the new evaluation. Please give us your honest feedback on the process. We know there will be bugs to iron out, and your feedback will go a long way toward resolving them.
