TRU Registration Form Overview

Thank you for your interest in and dedication to the Tobacco Resistance Unit (TRU)! TRU advisors should use this form to register a TRU or TRU+ group as well as to make updates to their registered group's roster at any point during the school year when membership changes.

Please review the following guidelines before completing this form:

This form is intended for advisors only. If you are a student who is interested in TRU but have not been connected to a TRU advisor, please complete the TRU Interest Form. If you are age 18-21 and are interested in joining TRU+ as an individual (i.e., not part of a TRU+ group), please click "Join" in the TRU+ section of the TRU website.
Groups and members returning from a previous school year must be reregistered each new school year.
If you are an advisor to multiple groups, please register each one separately and use a distinct name for each.
If your group consists of both TRU (ages 12-18) and TRU+ (ages 18-21) members, please register them in separate groups.
Please use this form to update your group's roster when membership changes to ensure there is an accurate count of members across the state.

Prior to beginning this form, download the 2025-2026 TRU Roster Template and complete all required fields for all group members. (If you are using an Apple/Mac computer without Microsoft Office, please refer to this article for assistance).

If you are registering a TRU group, you will need to submit the clearances listed below for all advisors and co-advisors, valid through June 2026, to TRU. Advisors and co-advisors returning from a previous school year must resubmit their clearances each school year.
