INSTRUCTIONS The AAMFT Code of Ethics Revision Project Task Force has completed the drafting process and has submitted a Proposed Code to the AAMFT Board. The purpose of this survey is to gather feedback from members about the new Proposed Code.
Over the next several pages, you will have the opportunity to provide feedback and suggestions regarding the Proposed AAMFT Code of Ethics. Please use the "Written Feedback" text box to provide feedback below each Standard. If you have no feedback to provide, you can simply move to the next Standard or click "Next" to move to the next page.
NOTE: You are not required to provide written feedback for all Standards.
Please evaluate each Standard's appropriateness for current Marriage and Family Therapy practice. The feedback and associated demographic data from this survey will be reviewed by the Task Force and AAMFT legal counsel, and the consultant conducting the data analysis related to this project.
When reviewing the Proposed Code, you can review the current 2015 AAMFT Code of Ethics with Redline Revisions as reference and context for comparison to the Proposed Code (presented in this survey before each Standard).
You may notice that some standards have been removed, and some new standards have been introduced. The Task Force removed standards that included information that was adequately covered in other standards. New standards were introduced to address issues that arise in present marriage and family therapy practice.
We appreciate your time and effort in completing this survey. We do anticipate a high volume of responses; therefore, we cannot provide specific, individualized responses to any questions or concerns directly. IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
- Please be advised that meaningful feedback takes time. Providing your feedback in the survey may take 10-60+ minutes to complete, depending on the amount of feedback you wish to provide.
- If at any point during the survey you wish to pause or continue at a later time, please find the small 'save and continue later' option in the TOP RIGHT corner of the survey (you will see this on the next page and subsequent pages).

- Once you click on "Save and continue later", you will be asked to provide and verify your email, and you will receive a link to revisit the survey at any time before the closing date/time. Please check your junk/spam folders if you do not see the link to resume the survey within 5 minutes of saving.
