Utilities Water Conservation is offering scholarships of up to $1,000 to landscape and irrigation professionals who work in Fort Collins to receive a certification or additional training to help decrease the water use of local landscapes.
If the number of applications exceeds available funding, awards will be determined based on program alignment and application quality. Otherwise, funds are first-come, first-served.
Scholarship payments will be made directly to the training or exam providers by Fort Collins Utilities. A list of pre-approved training courses and certifications is available below. Professionals may also propose other training or certification opportunities that align with the goals of the program for consideration by the application review team.
Utilities will cover the full cost of one approved training course or exam per year, up to $1,000. The program will not cover any expenses exceeding the actual cost of the training course or certification exam. Failure to complete the training or certification will bar an applicant from receiving future scholarships.
Requirements:
- Professionals must work in landscape and irrigation in the Fort Collins area.
- The training or certification must have a water conservation component.
- Applications must be received at least three weeks prior to the training.
