Northern Colorado women will be honored for their achievements in business, philanthropic and government organizations at the BizWest Northern Colorado Women of Distinction event.
All questions must be completed for the nomination to be considered.
Only one nomination is needed per candidate.
The nomination form must be submitted electronically by May 1, 2026.
Categories
Women of Distinction will recognize up to eleven women and one outstanding mentor who live or work in Larimer or Weld counties for their achievements in business, philanthropic and government organizations.

- Emerging Leader: A professional woman transitioning from an individual contributor to a leadership role, who displays traits of influence and initiative.
- Exceptional Volunteer: A woman who not only goes beyond “simply showing up” but also integrating deep personal passion, inspiration and commitment to her volunteer work.
- Government, Energy & Utilities
- Health Care
- Leading Lady: A woman who takes a prominent or highly regarded role in her field and community.
- Manufacturing
- Nonprofit
- Outstanding Mentor: A woman who is a trusted counselor or guide who provides intentional support to foster mentees personal and professional growth.
- Real Estate, Construction & Development
Nomination Criteria
The Northern Colorado Women of Distinction will be chosen through the following process:
- Nominations must be received by May 1, 2026.
- A current resume must be uploaded as part of the nomination.
- Although not required, letters of recommendation are encouraged and should be uploaded as part of the nomination submission.
- A panel of Women of Distinction alumni, plus two staff representatives from BizWest will evaluate the nominations, designate finalists in each category and select winners.
Eligibility:
Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Nominees must live or work in Larimer or Weld counties.
- A candidate may be nominated for only one award.
- A candidate will not be considered for a category in which she has previously been an honoree.
- A candidate may be nominated for a category in which she was not previously honored though she may have been an honoree in a different category.
- A candidate will be considered for a category different from the one she won in the past.

- How long and in what capacity has the nominee been involved in the field for which she is being nominated?
- What significant contributions has she made to her field?
- How has the nominee used innovation and creativity to excel in her field?
- How has this woman been a role model or inspired other women through, not only her achievements, but also her high ethical standards.
