Violence Prevention Roadmap 2025

Public Health Madison & Dane County, in collaboration with the Madison and Dane County Violence Prevention Coalition, is conducting this survey. The results will assist us, along with other information, in developing Dane County’s next Roadmap to Reducing Violence. This Roadmap is meant to guide the actions of systems and services over the next few years to reduce violence in our communities.

In this survey, violence is defined as the intentional use of physical force or power to injure, abuse, damage or destroy oneself or another person, group or community. Public Health’s Violence Prevention Unit uses this definition to drive our work of addressing gun violence, sexual violence, intimate-partner violence, violence within home settings, self-harm, and suicide.
