SADC PROTOCOL ALLIANCE NETWORK MAPPING AND SURVEY

Welcome to the Southern Africa Gender Protocol Alliance (the Alliance)mapping survey. The Alliance is the “network of networks” that campaigned for the SADC Protocol and Gender and Development in 2008 and advocates for its implementation. The Alliance consists of country focal networks and regional networks. The Alliance has spearheaded the #VoiceandChoice campaign, contributing to an annual Barometer that measures government performance against agreed targets. Gender Links has served as secretariat for the Alliance.

With backlash against women’s rights swirling around us, now is the time to #PushForward4Equality. At the African Women in Dialogue (AFWID) convening in January 2025, we agreed that “we are the ones we have been waiting for!” With this in mind, Alliance partners are conducting a survey to update and expand our coalition ahead of the SADC Heads of State Summit that will take place in August 2025 in Madagascar.

Your responses will help us identify what has worked well, pinpoint areas for improvement, and shape future support to better meet the needs of the Alliance network. We appreciate your time and honest feedback in completing this questionnaire, which will take approximately ten  minutes. Thank you!
