Welcome to the Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) Portfolio Application
This application allows you to provide detailed information about the knowledge and skills you have gained through work experience, professional certifications, military service, volunteer activities, or other non-traditional learning experiences. Your submission will be reviewed to determine if it qualifies for academic credit equivalent to college-level learning.
Please note that not all applications will meet the criteria for PLA credit. Each submission is carefully evaluated to ensure alignment with academic learning outcomes.
The application will ask for detailed information and may take at least 30 minutes to complete. Please plan accordingly.
What to Expect in the Application
- Review Job Responsibilities – You will see a list of job responsibilities. For each item, indicate whether it was a regular and significant part of your work experience.
- Upload Required Documents – At the end of the survey, upload your resume and relevant documentation (e.g., certifications, training records). These materials help validate your experience and assess your eligibility for academic credit.
- Provide Honest and Accurate Responses – Be truthful and precise when describing your experience to ensure an accurate assessment.
Once all sections are complete, submit your application for evaluation.
