HERNIA OLYMPICS

Surgical residents and fellows are invited to sign up to compete in the thrilling spectacle of the AHS Hernia Olympics, where trainees compete head-to-head, showcasing their surgical prowess and vying for glory! The AHS Hernia Olympics will take place in two heats over the course of the meeting on Thursday & Friday during the breaks in the exhibit hall.

The competition revolves around various simulated hernia repair scenarios, meticulously designed to mimic real-world challenges encountered in surgical practice. Each trainee competes against the clock, demonstrating their proficiency in executing hernia surgical techniques with precision, efficiency, and utmost patient safety. A distinguished panel of expert faculty judges, renowned in the field of hernia repair, will preside over the competition. The AHS Hernia Olympics offers not only the thrill of competition but also attractive prizes and recognition for the top three performers. Additionally, the competition serves as a platform for trainees to interact with esteemed faculty judges, gaining insight and guidance from some of the most accomplished surgeons in hernia repair.
