Arts Alive! Participant/Performer Application

Arts Alive! 2025 will be held from 12 PM to 5 PM on Sunday, September 14 at the Hylton Performing Arts Center.

• Arts Alive! is the annual, free community arts festival produced jointly by the Prince William County Arts Council, the County Department of Parks & Recreation and the Hylton Performing Arts Center.
• Admission is free, and the event will be held on September 14, 2025, rain or shine.
• The performing arts will be on four stages in 25-minute blocks: Merchant Hall, the Gregory Family Theater, Jacquemin Hall, and the Ballard Postma Studio. The Hylton team will be responsible for basic stage set-up on event day. Prep time and dressing room space will be limited, so you should arrive in costume and ready to perform!
Visual arts will be on display in the Didlake Grand Foyer and other locations throughout the Hylton Center. If you wish to sell items, please send in a vendor application.
Creative writers and poets will have space for readings, storytelling, book signings, etc.
Classes and demonstrations may be offered - i.e. instrument petting zoo, arts classes, dance demonstrations, a sing-along. Some Hylton Center spaces, and outside areas will be available for these activities.
• The Arts Council will set up a single display area where all of our members can provide information about their organization or business. This area will be staffed by volunteers.
• Tables and chairs will be available for use. Please provide any other items you require.

Please complete the following form and return it by July 13, 2025, to indicate your interest in participating. Completion of this form does not guarantee participation. Participants will be notified of their status during the week of July 14, 2025. The Arts Alive! Working Group will review all application forms, schedule performances and assign exhibit spaces. Your organization will receive a follow-up letter and contract from the Hylton Performing Arts Center so we can coordinate a basic stage plot and technical needs.
