Ripple Effects 2025: Call for Presentations

The BC Recreation and Parks Association (BCRPA) is seeking proposals for educational sessions at our Ripple Effects Conference, taking place on November 19 and 20, 2025, at Langara College. We are seeking dynamic speakers and leaders to share their knowledge, experience, and wise practices related to aquatics.

What is Ripple Effects? Ripple Effects is BCRPA’s biennial conference organized specifically for anyone who works directly in aquatics and aquatics programming. Every other year, over 150 professionals in the sector attend this two-day conference to learn about best practices, leading edge programs, the latest approaches to programming, and critical services that can help in their daily work. 

Who Attends Ripple Effects? Attendees at Ripple Effects are anyone who works in pools and aquatics including lifeguards, programmers, supervisors, instructors and more, who are looking to connect with new ideas, and network with their peers and colleagues.

Conference Theme: Where Learning Ignites Leadership

Session Topic Areas: 
We welcome presentation submissions on a wide range of topics. Special consideration will be given to the following key topic areas reflected in our Strategic Plan Commitments: Well-being, Reconciliation, Belonging (inclusion, diveristy, equity, and accessibility), and Climate Change.

  • Sector Partnerships & Research
